Green Corners is conceived as a community-based and community-driven projects aimed at raising awareness, inspiring others, and motivating collective efforts towards change. Green Corners is the experience of getting to know nature, which belongs to us all. The initiative began in a school in Tehran and then traveled to various cities in Iran, Turkey, Germany, and the US. Green Corners follows the Tehran Monoxide initiative, a project developed into a curriculum for the propagation of plants and raising awareness about the effects of plants on human life, initially in schools and gradually extended to public areas. The group workshops at schools and art institutes provided us with the opportunity to have conversations, make games, and play with students and audiences. To understand each other and our surroundings better, we planted plants, learned about them, and decided to keep them green. These were plants to be placed in different corners of the school or given as gifts to unknown friends.
