After completing two previous projects, namely the 'Puzzle' collection created through photo collages featuring various objects, and the Wrestling Quilt from a network of cloth—a quilt—woven in the form of a wrestling mat, I was inspired to address the audience on the themes of communication and identity in Iranian society through the medium of games and sports. This led to the development of the 'Vivacity' project, which depicts women's bodies in contemporary fashion engaged in sports. These sketches are the connection of shapes which has been sewn by hand onto pieces of cloth, resembling a children's quilt.
Vivacity' embodies the direct wishes of mothers for their children. Mothers desire happiness for their children regardless of political, cultural, or social circumstances, often expressing these aspirations by drawing sketches on their quilts. Perhaps, mothers encourage their children to gain direct, real-world experience through playing games and sports, considering it a response to the solitude individuals face in today's world. 'Sport' then becomes a wish for children to find balance and express themselves in society.
