Tehran’s urban public spaces are often defined as a passage and not a place to stop and contemplate. they are dedicated to cars mostly compared to the amount of sidewalks and spaces designated to the pedestrians. In Foot Dance farajiani takes these passages as her playground to perform a simple steady game with a ball.
PASFARDA organized & presented Made in China/Ball for the first time in the U.S., the traveling installation by NEGAR FARAJIANI conceptualized in IRAN and traveled to Dubai,Georgia and Toronto. the 12-by-12 foot giant inflatable beach ball rolls into Chicago's waterfront in proximity to EXPO CHICAGO on Saturday September 20, 2014 from 2-4PM at the Milton Lee Olive Park.
